Dr. Julia Kahan, MD and Dr. Norm Kahan, MD established their medical practice in 1991 and have been responsible for providing outstanding medical care for the active community ever since. Their specialty is in the area of sports and occupational injuries including the professional to the novice athlete: from hockey to ballet, work and overuse injuries, as well as trauma and reconstructive surgery.
Surgical and non-surgical evaluation and treatment of shoulder,
arm and wrist disorders to include: ergonomics, EMG/Nerve Conduction studies,
and surgery, including arthroscopic and open techniques for conditions such
as shoulder impingement, rotator cuff tear, tendinitis, and carpal tunnel
syndrome.
Treatment of neck and low back spinal disorders to include:
imaging studies, electrodiagnostic evaluations, and therapeutic injections
for conditions such as disc herniation in the neck and back, sciatica, spinal
stenosis, arthritis, hip bursitis, and failed back surgery syndromes.
Surgical and nonsurgical treatment for foot and ankle trauma
and reconstructive conditions. Including but not limited to bunions, fractures,
arthritis, sprains, tendonitis, tumors, and deformities.
Surgical and nonsurgical treatment for conditions such as arthritis,
fractures, ACL and meniscal injuries. Including arthroscopic technique as
well as major reconstructive procedures, injections, and bracing.
